The present manual is a book for doctors of the functional diagnostics, a collection of tasks for improving the method of dopplerograms' clinical interpretation; aid art atlas & teach-yourseff book of tie unique author's method of the ultrasound dopplerograms' clinical interpretation. The method is used for the qualitative assessment of the arterial-venous - liquor balance disturbances in the functioning of the vascular system of the brain.

Ulyana B. Lushchyk is the professor of the acoustic and acoustic electronics cathedra in National Technical University of Ukraine. She is an author of 103 scientific works about the USD method of vascular bed pathology and of the methods that has been much tested in surgical clinics and patented in the State Patent Office of Ukraine called "Method of the Ultrasound Diagnosis of Cerebral Vessels' Condition" by № 10262 on 19/07/95. The uniqueness of the method is In the special approach concerning results of the USD-examination and clinical interpretation of obtained data, which is unique for the world medical practice.

The educational manual provides fundamentals for USD of the cerebral-vascular pathology owing to methods of the USD dopplerography.

We have considered a new methodical approach to clinical ultrasound diagnosis of cerebrovascular diseases including anatomic-physiological peculiarities of blood supply for arterial and venous cerebral beds, fundamentals for the topography of vascularization of the brain. The present manual presents main approaches to realizing of the physics of ultrasound phenomena and principles of the up-to-date ultrasound system's functioning and also describes the clinical and dopplerographic picture that shows functioning of the collateral circulation tract, steal-syndromes. The illustrative material is proposed for more convenient assimilation of the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the methods adoption.

The present manual is complied for medical students, post-graduate students, family physician, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, angiologists, angiosurgeons, and doctors of (he functional and radial diagnostics, doctors from the intensive therapy departments.
